  • DYK - All training modules that are sent out from HCFS Training Division need to be put in as TD, (Training Division), in the Method of Instruction tab. Be sure  the topics that are sent out, particularly the EMS modules, are entered in the correct HCFC number category suggested and the title of the module is placed in the Class Description section. For example, do not just put April 2015 Monthly EMS training, put Airway Maneuvers in the Class Description.

  • DYK - Hall County Fire Services has successfully completed the 1st two Fire Officer I Courses and is conducting a 3rd offering of the Fire Officer I Course. The dates for this course are March 9th-13th (week 1), and March 23rd-27th (week 2). If you missed these offerings, stay tuned for future training announcements for this course.

  • Engineer - Review of Fire Hose, Nozzles, and Appliances 
  • Officer - The Role of the Company Officer in Fire Investigations
  • DYK - Law Enforcement is utilizing shoulder mics that have camera and audio functions. Agencies include H.C.S.O., Gainesville P.D. and D.N.R. (all officers may not have the new technology at this point but are in the process of upgrading). Comments, once recorded, cannot be erased and can be used as evidence in a court of law, so remain aware of this and assure any comments made are professional and pertinent to the situation.

Be aware of class dates and schedules for any classes you might need or can assist with by regularly checking your email for information from the Training Division.
